Founded in 1973, OSU Taekwondo is committed to focused training that is both fun and realistic for people of all experience backgrounds. Experience at OSU Taekwondo is second to none. The average dan any given member is 3, so you can be assured that no matter what level you are, beginner or advanced, you will find OSU Taekwondo to be the right choice for you, provided you are highly motivated and like new challenges. Beginners will have an opportunity to learn from our very experienced members, and advanced students can rest assured that their skills will be challenged as we bring the intensity you crave. Our regular member's nationalities span across the globe, encompassing five continents. This diversity is key to our success as the premier martial arts club of the Ohio State University, as OSU Taekwondo members are always building on the experience of others in the club. We also are committed to building strong relations to other martial arts clubs, so as to strengthen ourselves and the community. |
Senior Grand Master Joon Pyo Choi developed his own taekwondo style, Moo Gong Ryu, or "The Way of the Peaceful Warrior," which blends kimoodo breathing methods, World Taekwondo Federation techniques, and friendly competition. |
